Holly Myers, Certified Pilates Trainer, grew up in Gaston, Oregon. She’s a lifelong enthusiastic mover and athlete, enjoying softball, ballroom dance, rock climbing, snowboarding, and kayaking. She is also a former teacher of nutrition and health-related subjects.
Holly learned firsthand how powerful Pilates can be when she tried it for rehabilitation after a sports injury to her back. Her improvement so impressed her that she decided to become a Certified Trainer and teach it to others. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and has taught clients with degenerative disc disease, arthritis, herniated disc, spondylolisthesis (displaced vertebra), scoliosis, and neck, foot and knee injuries. Her clients have included athletes: runners, skiers, mountain bikers, cyclists, rock climbers, dancers, surfers, and even trapeze artists! She has worked with clients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and survivors of breast cancer. Holly makes each workout challenging and fun.
Holly studied chemistry and pre-chiropractic medicine at Portland State University and earned her BS in Nutrition at Bastyr University, Seattle. She became a Certified Pilates Instructor studying with April Tillman of Urban Pilates in Portland, Oregon and Dorothee VandeWalle of Metropolitan Pilates in Seattle. She has taken Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Systems Pilates workshops.
